Ways on How To Move God with Your Faith
Faith is the total dependence on God. With faith, we get back into dependence on God. Without faith, it will be impossible for a person to please God. The reason is that as human beings, we all claim to be independent but the real answer lies within our hearts, the truth of the whole matter is that we all depend on God for one need or the other.
For you to depend on God, you have to put all trusts and all your hope in him. When you put all your hopes on him, you have to think less of yourself, because you cant offer anything to yourself, it is God who offers you anything which you request and ask of him.
According to Mattew 7:7- “Ask, and you will receive; seek, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened to you. For you to ask a person for something, it means you are asking and requesting for something which you hope and believe that it will be given to you.
True faith is practiced in the following ways
Obedience – Obedience means doing what you are told to do. As teenagers and children of God, we receive instructions from God and at times we don’t follow those instructions. This is bad, as Christians we practice true faith and true Christianity by our willingness to obey and follow the instructions given to us. An example of a man of faith who obeyed God and was willing to follow God’s command is Abraham, the father of faith and the father of nations. The faith that he had in God moved God to the point where God had to enter into a covenant with him. In the beginning, God told Abraham, then he was known as Abram to leave his father’s house and go to a land where he(God) will show him. Abraham did not have any idea of where God is taking him to but he obeyed God, he left his father’s house and followed God. Even when God told him to use his only son, Issac for sacrifice, Abraham never complained, he obeyed God. This is how true faith in God should be practiced, when we put our faith in God, he will establish a covenant with us and bless us.
Action: In the Bible, James made it know to the believers that faith expressed without work is dead. This is to tell you that there are dead faith and also living faith. For you to trust and put your faith in God, you have to act, you don’t have to watch and let God do miracles. As a Christian, you may be believing on God for something, when you put your trust in him without any iota of doubt, you have to do what will move God. An example of an action is fasting and praying. When you deny yourself of basic needs and privileges, you do that to move God.
What God has said: God is our father, he has so many promises for us.One of those promises to is to give us an expected end. As children of God, we are open to some of these blessings and privileges which God has promised for us(his children), and you have to claim yours and claim what belongs to you in God’s kingdom. Even when it’s your share or inheritance, you are still going to claim that prophesy and blessings which God had promised for you. God’s word will never return to him void and anything which he said shall be done, that is the reason why you should have faith in him.
“Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” – Hebrews 11:1.
The assurance and trust which you have on God is faith. It is good to trust God without doubting him because he cannot fail and the word “FAILURE” is not in his dictionary.
Basics of Faith.
The following are the basics, advantages, and necessities of having faith in God. These keys will improve and increase the faith which you have in God.
The Nature of God.
God Cannot Change -Hebrews 3:6 – “For I am the Lord, I change not, therefore you sons of Isreal are not consumed.”God cannot change and that is his nature, from generation to generation, he has not changed, he is still the same God yesterday, today and forever. God is unchangeable and nothing will make him change.
God cannot lie- Titus 1:2: In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised, therefore, the world began. This scripture quotes than in the beginning, that is, at the time when the world began, God has not deviated from his words. He has continued to remain faithful and he cannot lie. Numbers 23:19 -God is not a man that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and he shall not do it? or hath not spoken, and shall it not make it good? God id God and he will never bring himself down to the level of man to lie.
God cannot fail – Job42:2: “I know, Lord, that you are all-powerful; that you can do anything you want”. God is the supreme ruler of the universe, the kings, presidents, and rulers of this world are not matched to him. He cannot fail on his promises and that is why you need to put your faith and trust in him because he will not let you down.
How does Faith work?
God gives us faith: Faith doesn’t come from the devil, nor from vanity, connection or riches but faith comes from God. Faith comes from God, it is God that giveth faith to every man.
Faith comes by the word of God: Faith comes by hearing and hearing the word of God. Whenever you read God’s word, there is this positive feeling that enters you, after reading of God’s promises in his word, you believe in your heart without doubt that God saved you through his son and has made you an heir in his kingdom, then you become optimistic about your chances and with this way, depression and anxiety will not leap into my mind as long as you put your faith steadfast on God.
Obedience to the word of God: Your faith in God only works out when you don’t believe in your own power and might but believing in the words of the supreme one, God. We must continue to obey him and not go astray because he hates anything sin. God is a holy God and he wants all his creature to be like him. Just like a lamb, we should be submissive to God, obey him and follow his instructions given to us.
Trials and Temptations: Another way in which faith works is by Trials and temptations. God can decide to test you and know how firmly rooted in your faith is in him. In the Bible, Job was left to die, the world had nothing to offer him. His fate was sealed, his wife told him to curse God and die, but Job knowing how God who is, still kept believing in God. After God was done assessing him, the Lord blessed him. This is how true faith works, God can decide to crown all your works by giving you a reward but he can decide to test you if you are worth it. Trials and temptations can be tricky and misleading, it is how you handle those trials that matter, keep your eyes open so as not to fall into trials and fail God’s test.
